Finally, someone is using the bible to defend stem cell research! See October 19th's New England Journal of Medicine for this free access article about stem cell politics. "I find nothing in the Bible that tells me that cells in a lab dish are people," says Republican Senator John Danforth. "What I do find in the Gospels is an emphasis on healing -- relieving people of their suffering."
I don't exactly 'believe' in the bible, but I wouldn't hesitate to use it the next time I cross paths with any godloving naysayers.
